On the morning of February 20, the ship INS Sujata (Indian Navy) and the ship ICGS Veera (Indian Coast Guard), commanded by Captain Anshul Kishore and Lieutenant Commander Ramesh V Talke respectively, docked at Cam Ranh International Port, commencing a courtesy visit to Khánh Hòa Province from February 20 to February 23.

Attending the welcoming ceremony were Colonel Nguyễn Thái Học, Deputy Chief of Staff of Navy Region 4; leaders of the Khánh Hòa Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs; the Khánh Hòa Provincial Military Command; the Khánh Hòa Provincial Border Guard Command; and the Command of Coast Guard Region 3. Representing Tan Cang – Petro Cam Ranh Company Limited was Lieutenant Colonel Đặng Anh Diệp, Director of the company.

The visit aims to strengthen cooperation, mutual understanding, and trust between the armed forces and Navies of Vietnam and India. As part of the visit, the ship’s commanding officers will pay courtesy calls to the leaders of the Khánh Hòa Provincial People’s Committee and the Navy Region 4 Command. Additionally, the ship’s officers and sailors will participate in sports exchanges with officers and soldiers of Navy Region 4, conduct joint exercises at sea on maneuvering formations, communication drills, search and rescue, and visit local historical and cultural sites.

The ships INS Sujata and ICGS Veera are the first two foreign military vessels to call at Cam Ranh International Port in 2025. In executing the ship welcoming plan, Cam Ranh International Port coordinated effectively with relevant units and functional agencies such as Navy Region 4 Command, Customs, Border Guard, Maritime Administration, and Ship Agents to ensure the quality of services provided to the vessels, as well as the successful execution of reception and foreign affairs activities at the port. The port proves worthy of being the flagship of the Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) system in carrying out defense foreign affairs missions.
